There is a longstanding connection between Kinetics Physiotherapy and basketball, through both principal physio David and also consultant physio Rob Knight.  David previously worked alongside the NZ Breakers from 2014-17, including the NBL Championship winning team in 2014.  Meanwhile Rob Knight has worked alongside the NZ Breakers for three seasons.  We have also been the providers to BNZ Kahu Basketball and the Auckland Tuatara NZ NBL team.

Over this time Rob has also continued in his role as lead physio to the Tall Blacks, with David also recently stepping in as a travelling physio.  Rob has been involved in multiple campaigns as the Tall Blacks look to a World Cup spot in 2027.  In August 2026, David travelled with the Tall Blacks Select squad to China for a friendly.

Our approach at Kinetics is to combine the vast experience of well regarded sports physiotherapists with our admin and process based support systems in the clinic.  This ensures that player health and wellbeing can be prioritized so they can perform at their best for our national team.
